Mentoring
Gritt’s mentoring programmes connect young people with experienced athletes, creatives, and outdoor industry professionals to support learning, growth, and long‑term development.
Mentoring is not limited to high‑performance sport; it is designed to educate and support youth across a wide range of pathways, from first exposure to the outdoors through to careers in sport, creativity, and the wider outdoor industry.
We focus on youth progression in its broadest sense. This may include introducing young people to the outdoors, supporting skill development, navigating transitions between school and sport, or helping individuals understand pathways as athletes, coaches, filmmakers, guides, organisers, or leaders within their communities. The aim is to reduce friction along these journeys by providing guidance, lived experience, and access to positive role models.
At its core, mentoring exists to support young people as whole humans.

Weather Anything Program
Supported by Arc'teryx
The Weather Anything Program is a junior athlete program that removes financial barriers to pursuing winter sports, facilitates building positive athlete relationships with brands, and supports them to develop their own community focused initiatives.
The program is open to two athletes aged 16 - 21, who will work directly with the Gritt team to support them across a two year period.
We look for athletes who are not only interested in progressing in their sport but also align with Gritts' values to support their local environment and communities.
