POC Backcountry Camp 2026 - The Remarkables

Designed specifically for young riders aged 14–18, this camp exists to provide the next generation with the technical skills, situational awareness, and real-world experience needed to move through the mountains safely and confidently in more complex and consequential terrain.

Attendees will earn their Avalanche Safety Course Level 1 (ASC1) certification, alongside hands-on practical experience.

Over the course of the camp, participants will work through a range of focused sessions covering:

• Avalanche awareness and snow science fundamentals

• Rescue techniques and transceiver, probe & shovel practice

• Route planning, terrain selection and hazard assessment
